LE - Lower Collar
Lady Elizabeth Lower Tank Collar was intended to keep the skirt of the rocket on and improve aerodynamics during flight. Measures 7.25 inches in diameter, and interior tapers down from 0.3” to 0.075”. Made from 6061-T6 Aluminum.
Tolerances +- 0.0025”
Cryogenic Vent Valve V1
Intended to use dynamic pressure to determine actuation state. This version is intended for water and nitrogen testing only.

Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a process by which a part is built layer by layer through laser sintering of powder. Over the last few years I have been fortunate to have been exposed to the technology and been able to integrate it into many of the projects across my site.

Lower Helium Collar
This part was designed to perfectly fit the contour of a carbon wrapped scuba tank. It served as the main support system for our on board pressurization system and enabled the pressure fed system of Lady Elizabeth to function in rocket configuration. I machined this using a HAAS VF2 CNC machine.
